Recently, the Ministry of Transport issued the "Uniform Standard for the Application of Highway Engineering Information Models" (JTG/T 2420-2021, referred to as "Standards"), which is a recommended standard for the highway engineering industry and will come into force on June 1, 2021. One, background
The digitization of highway infrastructure is the main content and basic work for accelerating the construction of a strong transportation country and promoting the development of smart highways. The extensive application of BIM technology in my country's highway engineering has accelerated the digital development of the highway industry and promoted the coordinated development of highway design, construction, and operation and maintenance technologies. In order to meet the needs of the application of BIM technology in my country's highway industry, promote the sound development and life-cycle application of highway engineering BIM technology, and further improve the application level and digitization level of highway engineering life-cycle BIM technology, our ministry has formulated the highway engineering BIM technology foundation Standards, determine the highway facility model architecture, model coding, data format and other issues, and standardize the technical requirements for the application of information models in the entire life cycle of highway projects, and lay the foundation for the next step of highway digitization.
2. "Standard" positioning
As the basic standard for the application of BIM technology in the entire life cycle of highway engineering, the "Standard" aims to standardize the basic requirements for the application of BIM technology in the entire life cycle of highway engineering. Effective sharing, inheritance and transmission of information. The "Standard" applies to the design, construction, and operation and maintenance phases of highway engineering, covering majors such as routes, subgrades and pavements, bridges and culverts, tunnels, traffic engineering and facilities along the route.
3. Main content
On the basis of fully summarizing the relevant BIM technical standards and research results at home and abroad, the "Standard" is formulated to suit the characteristics of my country's highway engineering industry, facilitate the development of BIM technology, and promote the promotion and application of BIM technology in the highway industry based on the actual needs of highway engineering. Regulations and requirements. The "Standard" includes 7 chapters and 2 appendices, which are: 1 General; 2 Terminology; 3 Basic Regulations; 4 Model Architecture; 5 Classification Code; 6 Data Storage; 7 Delivery; Appendix A Classification Code; Appendix B Data Storage. The main contents include:
(1) Model structure: Combining the characteristics of my country's highway engineering, referring to the sub-items of highway engineering, taking the engineering entity as the main research object, proposes a model structure consisting of facilities, sub-facilities and components, involving routes, subgrades, pavements, bridges and culverts , Tunnels, traffic engineering and facilities along the line, topography and geology, etc., and provide principles and methods for model structure expansion to ensure the coordination and unity of model hierarchy and structure throughout the life cycle.
(2) Classification and coding: The information model is classified and coded according to achievements, processes, resources, attributes and other aspects, and 8 classification tables including facilities, sub-facilities, components, project phases, professional fields, and materials are proposed, and the Relevant provisions for coding expansion and reserved expansion space.
(3) Data storage: According to the characteristics and data storage requirements of my country's highway engineering projects, based on the latest IFC international standards, based on model architecture and classification codes, using an extension method that combines attributes and entities to define subgrade pavement, bridges and culverts, tunnels, etc. The entity, the extended content is fully compatible with the original standard. The establishment of the data storage structure fills the gap in the highway engineering field in the IFC standard, and provides standard support for the sharing and transmission of highway engineering BIM information between different software.
(4) Model delivery: Preliminary design (L2.0), construction drawing design (L3.0), construction preparation (L3.5), construction process (L4.0), delivery acceptance (L5.0) are proposed in the whole life cycle ), operation and maintenance stage (L6.0) 6 models of fineness levels, clarify the relationship between the BIM deliverables at each stage, and facilitate the coordination and delivery of the delivery content at each stage.
IV. Implementation precautions
As this "Standard" is a newly compiled standard and runs through the entire life of the highway, the following matters should be noted during the implementation process:
(1) Used in conjunction with relevant specifications. The "Standard" should be used in accordance with the "Highway Engineering Design Information Model Application Standard" (JTG/T 2421-2021), "Highway Engineering Construction Information Model Application Standard" (JTG/T 2422-2021), and highway engineering design, construction and Operation and maintenance and other related standards and specifications are used in conjunction.
(2) Continue to track the effect of the implementation of the "Standard". In the application of the "standard", we should continue to track the implementation effect, pay attention to the adaptability and coordination with the actual road engineering construction management, pay attention to the applicability of the existing BIM software tools, strengthen the feedback and analysis of the application of BIM technology, and summarize the project in time Application experience will further improve the application level and effect of BIM technology, and lay a more solid foundation for the development of BIM technology in highway engineering.
(3) Carefully organize publicity and implementation training. The "Standard" is widely used in highway construction and serves the departments of transportation, survey, design, construction, management and other units in various provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government). It is necessary to effectively organize publicity and implementation training in accordance with the actual work, so that technical personnel can accurately understand the "standard" and use the "standard" correctly.
